Custom Prints Information & FAQs
The Kettle's Yard range of custom reproduction prints are printed, framed and sent directly to you by our Custom Prints partner King & McGaw from their print studio in Sussex.
Custom Prints prints are inkjet printed using light-fast UV cured pigment inks on matt smooth 250gsm conservation digital paper.
We offer a range of framing options:
Black, painted solid ash showing the grain of the wood
White, painted solid ash showing the grain of the wood
Natural, solid wood with oak veneer and wax finish
Gold, solid wood with a painted gilt finish
All frames are handmade and hand-finished in Sussex, UK. Window mounts are made from 600 microns thick, acid-free cotton core and the glazing is 2mm continuous cast acrylic for safety, optical clarity and UV protection. Cast acrylic is also recyclable.
FAQs
Q: Why is the shipping charge different to your standard rates?
A: Custom Prints are made and shipped directly to the customer by our supplier. Shipping rates are calculated by size and weight and applied at checkout. Please note that free UK standard shipping for orders over £50 does not apply to Custom Print orders.
Q: How long will it take to receive my Print on Demand order?
A: Order lead time is 5 working days for unframed prints and 10 working days for framed prints. UK orders for unframed prints are shipped via Royal Mail and framed prints by Parcelforce or UPS on a Next Working Day service. Overseas orders are shipped via Parcelforce or UPS and delivery times vary by destination.
Q: Can I collect my Print on Demand order from the Kettle's Yard shop in person?
A: No, Print on Demand products are made and shipped directly to the customer by our supplier and are not eligible for our Click & Collect service.
Q: Are all artworks in the Kettle's Yard collection available as prints?
A: No - at least not yet! We currently have 250+ works by Alfred Wallis, Christopher Wood, Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, Ben Nicholson, David Jones, Winifred Nicholson, William Scott, Italo Valenti, Barbara Hepworth, Alan Reynolds and Kate Nicholson available as custom prints. We are working to add more - if there is a particular work or artist that you'd love to see included, please send your suggestions to shop@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk
Q: Can I return my Print on Demand item for a refund if I change my mind?
A: No, Print on Demand orders are custom items so cannot be returned for a refund under our standard returns policy. If you receive a Print on Demand product that is faulty or damaged, please email shop@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk for assistance.
