Print on Demand Information and FAQs
The Kettle's Yard range of Print on Demand reproduction prints are printed, framed and sent directly to you by our Print on Demand partner King & McGaw from their print studio in Sussex.
Print on Demand prints are inkjet printing using light-fast UV cured pigment inks on matt smooth 250gsm conservation digital paper.
We offer a range of framing options:
- Black, painted solid ash showing the grain of the wood
- White, painted solid ash showing the grain of the wood
- Natural, solid oak with a hand-applied finishing wax
- Gold, solid wood with a painted gilt finish
All frames are handmade and hand-finished in Sussex, UK. Window mounts are made from 600 microns thick, acid-free cotton core and the glazing is 2mm continuous cast acrylic for safety, optical clarity, UV protection. Cast acrylic is also recyclable.

Q: Why is the shipping charge different to your standard rates?
A: Print on Demand products are made and shipped directly to the customer by our partner King & McGaw. Shipping rates are calculated by size and weight,
Q: How long will it take to receive my Print on Demand order?
A: Order lead time is 5 working days for unframed prints and 10 working days for framed prints. UK orders for unframed prints are shipped via Royal Mail and framed prints by Parcelforce or UPS on a Next Working Day service. Overseas orders are shipped via Parcelforce or UPS and delivery times vary by destination.
Q: Can I collect my Print on Demand order from the Kettle's Yard shop in person?
A: No; Print on Demand products are made and shipped directly to the customer by our partner King & McGaw and are not eligible for our Click & Collect service.
Q: Are all artworks in the Kettle's Yard collection available as prints?
A: No - at least not yet! The service launched in December 2022 with works from Christopher Wood, Alfred Wallis and Henri Gaudier-Brzeska. We are working hard to add more artists soon, including Ben Nicholson and Winifred Nicholson. If there is a particular work or artist that you'd love to see included, please send your suggestions to shop@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk
Q: Can I return my Print on Demand item for a refund if I change my mind?
A: No, Print on Demand orders are custom items so cannot be returned for a refund under our standard returns policy. If you receive a Print on Demand product that is faulty or damaged, please email shop@kettlesyard.cam.ac.uk for assistance.
